Today I am pleased to announce that my latest Pluralsight course has been published! Administering a Sitecore Website provides ASP.NET web developers with an in-depth guide to Sitecore administration. It is a follow-up to our other Sitecore courses Getting Started with Sitecore Helix and Building a Sitecore Helix Website. These courses are included in the Sitecore learning path on Pluralsight.
This course features Sitecorians from around the world and I am proud to produce this Unofficial Sitecore Curriculum by the community, for the community! This course would not be half as interesting if it were not for all of the Featured Sitecorians from around the world: Ishraq Al Fataftah, Jaina Baumgartner, Dan Zhang, Audrey Guillemot, and Mara Low. Thank you all for being a part of this effort!
Administering a Sitecore Website walks you through administering Sitecore websites using the security tools available out of the box. In this unofficial Sitecore training course, you will learn how to create and manage users, roles, and domains using the User Manager, Role Manager, and Domain Manager. First, you will view Sitecore Security access rights in the Access Viewer and assign access in the Security Editor in order to secure the Sitecore interfaces, templates, content items, and workflows. Next, you will understand how to transfer users, roles, domains, and security settings between environments using packages and serialization. And finally, you will learn how to create custom workflows and workflow actions. By the end of this course, you will be able to administer a complete Sitecore website using the security access tools that are available out of the box.
I also want to thank Mike Reynolds and Paul Urban. Both of them have acted as SMEs for both Building a Sitecore Helix Website and Administering a Sitecore Website and provided review notes before I finalized the course. They provided invaluable quality assurance to this project on top of everything going on in the world and their lives. I am honored to work with them and I have learned so much from their expertise over the years.
Finally, I want to thank my husband and Producer, Jason Benhoff. We are facing a new phase for our business in 2021 and I would not be able to focus solely on authoring if it were not for him.
This year is starting off with a bang and we are just getting started! We have a lot of projects planned for this year and we are very excited to be able to focus on producing learning content in 2021. Stay tuned!
